Vortrag:  „Birds, Wildlife and Nature of  Nepal“ am 06. September in Reichenbach

Zu diesem besonderen Vortrag  laden wir im Rahmen der monatlichen Regionaltreffen Chemnitz des Vereins Sächsischer Ornithologen e.V. am kommenden Dienstag, 6. September 2016, um 19.30 Uhr in Beierleins Landgasthaus und Hotel http://www.beierleins.de in im Callenberger Ortsteil Reichenbach bei Hohenstein-Ernstthal ein.

Der nepalesische Ornithologe, Birdguide und Naturfotograf Som  Gharti  Chhetri, der im Rahmen einer internationalen Konferenz http://www.BirdNumbers2016.de einige Tage in Deutschland zu Besuch sein wird, stellt die außergewöhnliche Vogelwelt und grandiose Natur des Himalaya-Landes in Bildern vor. Er spricht aber auch über die Folgen des schweren Erdbebens und die Auswirkungen auf die Menschen. Mit seinem Vortrag wird er zudem auf die enorme Bedrohung der Natur und der Tierwelt infolge von Abholzung und illegaler Tötung der letzten Tiger,  die im 21. Jahrhundert immer noch von am Medizin-Märchen glaubenden Menschen gewildert werden, hinweisen. Der Vortrag soll auch eine Einführung in eine vogel-und naturkundliche Bartmeise-Reise sein, die Som  Chhetri  vom 7. bis 22. März 2017 in Nepal führen wird. Der Vortrag in englischer Sprache wird ins Deutsche übersetzt. Alle Interessenten sind zum Vortrag, der kostenfrei ist, herzlich eingeladen. Um eine Spende wird aber gebeten.

Presentation:  ‘Birds, Wildlife and Nature of Nepal’ on Tuesday in Reichenbach
All are invited to attend this special presentation, which will take place at the next monthly regional meeting of the Saxon Ornithologists’ Society Chemnitz at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday the 6^th of September, in Beierlein’s Landgasthaus and Hotel in the Callenberg suburb of Reichenbach near Hohenstein-Ernstthal. Som Gharti Chhetri, the Nepalese ornithologist, bird guide and nature photographer, who is visiting Germany for a few days for an international conference, will present in photographs the extraordinary bird world and grandiose nature of the Himalayan countryside. He will also talk about the consequences of the severe earthquakes and their effects on the Nepalese people. In addition, he will discuss the enormous threat to nature of deforestation and the illegal slaughter of the last tigers, which are still hunted in the 21^st Century by those who believe in the mythical medicinal powers of tiger parts.The presentation also serves as an introduction to a Bartmeise Tours birding and nature expedition to Nepal from 8^th to 22^nd March 2017, which will be led by Som Chhetri. The presentation is in English with simultaneous translation into German.
